A different way to ask how we age.
16×1 grew from a question at the centre of HealthRestore’s work: if different parts of one person can change at different rates, why describe the whole person with just one age?
The Age Map is HealthRestore’s framework for exploring that difference — sixteen biological age domains considered together as one interconnected human.
The pattern behind the idea.
The founder narrative supplied for this site describes more than 30 years of HealthRestore consultations, scan reviews, follow-up work and personalised programmes. Across that work, Derin Bepo observed clients whose apparent strengths and weaknesses did not move together. A person might be physically fit while reporting poor sleep or recovery; another might show a very different combination of concerns.
Those observations shaped a practical question: what might become visible if we mapped the differences instead of compressing them into a single age? The 16×1 Age Map was developed as a way of organising that question.
From one age to sixteen domains.
16×1 does not propose that the body contains only sixteen systems. Its “domains” are windows into complex biology: organ systems, regulatory networks and patterns that can overlap. The point of separating them is to understand how they might interact when brought back together.
The framework uses concepts such as Age Span, Human Reserve, the weakest link and the Clockwork Human to invite questions about variation, compensation and biological timing. These are elements of the 16×1 explanatory framework; they should not be presented as independently validated clinical measurements unless supporting evidence is published.
Meet Derin Bepo
Derin Bepo is identified in the supplied founder document as a Natural Health Consultant, Master Herbalist, Naturopath and founder of HealthRestore. His work has focused on looking for patterns behind clients’ experiences and bringing different sources of information into a connected picture.

What guides our approach.
See the whole person
A symptom or single measurement rarely captures every relevant influence. We aim to consider context: daily habits, personal history, reported experience and the relationships among biological domains.
Make complexity understandable
Clear language and visual mapping should help people understand what a result means, where it comes from and what remains uncertain.
Ask better questions
An Age Map is most useful when it prompts thoughtful follow-up. A pattern should lead to clarification and appropriate verification, not a claim of certainty that the data cannot support.
How 16x1 turns the idea into AC personal Assessment.
The 16×1 process combines two sources of information:
1. The Deep Ageing Intelligence Assessment™
This is much more than a basic questionnaire. It gathers detailed information about the patterns that can drive decline: sleep, food, digestion, movement, stress, recovery, environmental exposure, hormones, medications, lifestyle, symptoms and health history.
The questions are informed by more than 30 years of HealthRestore client analysis, consultations, scan reviews, follow-up work and pattern recognition, alongside knowledge drawn from multiple fields of ageing and health.
2. The HealthRestore Remote Scan
The assessment is combined with HealthRestore's phone-assisted remote scan technology. The scan adds another layer of biological information to the client's profile.
The two streams are then brought together to create a personalised Age Map — an overview of how different biological domains appear to be ageing in relation to one another.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Instead of travelling to an expensive clinic for a series of separate assessments, 16×1 is designed to give a broad, connected view quickly. Once the assessment and scan information are complete, the analysis can be produced within minutes.
A different way to think about ageing.
16×1 asks people to stop seeing ageing as one mysterious, unstoppable force.
-
It asks a better set of questions:
-
Which parts of me are holding up well?
-
Which parts are declining fastest?
-
What may be causing that decline?
-
Is one weak area pulling other systems down?
-
Where do I still have strong biological reserve?
-
What can I change now?
That is the purpose of the Age Map: to make hidden decline visible early enough for a person to understand it, respond to it and change the direction.
“You do not have one age. You have one body carrying many different ageing stories.”
Where HealthRestore ends and 16×1 begins.
HealthRestore is the broader founder-led health and wellness practice described in the source material. 16×1 is its Age Map concept and assessment experience. The website should explain how the services connect, what a visitor is purchasing or booking, and who handles follow-up and personal information.
You do not have one age. Explore the thinking behind 16×1 — and see how the Age Map is designed to bring your individual story into focus.
